John M. Byrom

John M. Byrom assists clients in energy, real property, and commercial transactional matters with an emphasis in the upstream oil and gas sector and title examination, including rendering original, supplemental, division order, and acquisition title opinions. He has worked in private practice for over ten years and has advised clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters.

TITLE EXAMINATION, DUE DILIGENCE, AND COUNSELING

  • Prepares title instruments affecting ownership, including drafting and negotiating conveyancing instruments, surface and mineral leases, partitions, easements, surface use agreements, stipulations of interest, and affidavits of heirship
  • Counsels clients on surface, mineral, and royalty ownership disputes and issues
